Police: Cocaine in Goa death girl’s body
March 21, 2008
PANAJI, India (AP) — Police say a British teenager who was allegedly raped and murdered on a beach in southern India had cocaine, morphine and alcohol in her system.
Scarlett Keeling ’s partially clothed body was found on a beach in Goa.
Scarlett Keeling’s bruised and partially clothed body was found February 18 on Anjuna beach in Goa, a tiny state whose coastline is crowded with tourist resorts.
Goa Police Chief Kishen Kumar has told reporters that a post-mortem examination showed that she tested positive for drugs.” Now the narcotic drugs and alcohol form a part of the chain of events that included rape and drowning of a girl who could not defend herself,” Kumar says.
Two men have been arrested in connection with her death and Kumar said police are nearing the end of their investigation. The suspects were allegedly seen drinking at a bar with Keeling the night she died.
First extra-solar organic molecule discovered

The Hubble Space Telescope has discovered the first organic molecule on a planet that’s not in our solar system. According to NASA, this breakthrough could be a major step toward discovering life on other planets. Scientists believe that the organic compound detected, methane, can be an integral part in the chemical reactions considered necessary to form life as we know it.
The discovery was made on a planet called HD 189733b, which is 63 light-years away from Earth in the constellation Vulpecula. Hubble also confirmed the existence of water molecules in the planet’s atmosphere–a discovery made by NASA’s Spitzer Space Telescope in 2007.
The planet is called a “hot Jupiter” because it is about the size of the giant planet in our solar system but is closer to its sun than planet Mercury is to ours. It takes the planet just two days to orbit its sun. Its temperature is about 1,700 degrees Fahrenheit, considered to be too hot for life as we know it. But this discovery means that methane and other compounds can probably be identified on other, more Earth-like, planets somewhere in the galaxy.
Finished Installing Windows Vista SP1 ? Now Remove All The Junk Files
March 20, 2008

When you install Windows Vista Service Pack 1 on your computer, the SP1 installer will not remove the older versions of Vista files from the hard drive. This is because the older files may be required in case you decide to uninstall SP1 later from the system.
Naturally, these files occupy important disk space. If you are satisfied with the performance of Windows Vista SP1 and unlikely to remove it later, why not reclaim some disk space by removing all the older Vista files.
There are no manual steps involved. Just open your Windows command prompt and type vsp1cln.exe (short for Vista SP1 Cleaner). It takes less than a minute to execute.
*vsp1cln.exe is added to your Windows Vista System folder after you install Vista SP1.
This will make Windows Vista Service Pack 1 permanent on this computer. All the older files are deleted now and your hard disk has tons of extra space for other important files like videos and photos.
You computer need not be connected to the Internet for running the Vista SP1 cleaner tool. And you won’t be able to remove Windows Vista Service Pack 1 later.

Heathrow baggage problem resolved
February 21, 2008
Passengers planning to travel are advised to contact their airline |
Heathrow airport operator BAA has said the problem with the software used for checking-in baggage at Terminal 4 has been resolved. Problems emerged on Tuesday leading to delays for thousands of passengers who had to travel with just hand luggage.
British Airways (BA) said economy and premium economy customers should not bring luggage to be checked in.
BAA said the system was returning to normal but it advised passengers to check with their airlines.
The computer problem had serious consequences for the BA’s World Traveller (economy), World Traveller Plus (premium economy) and transfer passengers, who were allowed to travel with a maximum of two items of hand luggage.
The airline said that Club World and first class passengers were not affected by the baggage restriction.
Terminal 4 handles baggage for BA’s long-haul customers.
